Metaverse Projects that are Ahead of Facebook and Microsoft.
Metaverse, NFT’s, and cryptocurrencies have become massively popular in a year or two. Many big names have already announced their plans to create a metaverse.
Meta, which was previously known as Facebook, also changed its name to show its intent to focus on the creation of metaverse. Moreover, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella also shared ambitious plans to pursue the creation of metaverse.
However, both of these giants are far behind when compared to some other lesser-known names in the domain. Some intriguing projects have already made their way to people and are available on famous crypto exchanges like Binance, WazirX, Coinbase, and more.

Today we will shed some light on other companies and entities making progress in the metaverse.
The Sandbox:
The Sandbox is a project of Animoca Brands and is being constantly worked on for more than four years. Animoca Brands’ metaverse game The Sandbox is available and is based on the play-to-earn model. The game is powered by SAND token which players can earn while completing in-game tasks. Moreover, Adidas also announced that it will launch its ‘Adiverse’ using the Sandbox project.
Decentraland:
The game is set in a metaverse powered by NFT’s and cryptocurrencies. Its token is known as MANA and users can buy and sell virtual land and houses in its virtual world. Decentraland also added support for Polygon’s Matic network (META) and also supports Wallet Connect.
Gala Games:
Gala Games is a company that is working on several blockchain-based games. Its token is GALA which can be used in all of its five games and more to come. Gala Games also allows users to buy a license to operate a node on its Gala network.
Star Atlas:
Another blockchain-based game Star Atlas is also building its metaverse and uses Solana blockchain. The game is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game and is built on Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite platform. Its token is known as ATLAS and is listed on Coinbase.
