Get ready PUBG fans; the day isn’t far when you will experience future warfare. Almost after three years of its release, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting a brand new title and it is exclusively mobile-only.

Announcement trailer

The announcement trailer, a rather cryptic one, in February 2021 announced PUBG: New State. The trailer made the fans elated and hungry for more info about the new game. This made the PUBG fandom eager, and we mean a lot eager, to know about the new game.

Krafton and PUBG Corp

The game’s developers Krafton and PUBG Corp shared that over five million pre-registrations were made by players on Google Play in the week after the game was announced.

However, Krafton and PUBG Corp haven’t announced the release date but one thing is for sure that the alpha test will start later this year.

New battle royale game

PUBG New State is rather a new battle royale game not a sequel to the original PUBG. The game is based on futuristic warfare that takes place in 2051 on a new map known as Troi. This means that we will witness advanced weapons, combat tactics, and perks.

An important aspect of PUBG New State is that it is not being developed by Tencent, the team behind PUBG mobile. Rather it is being developed by PUBG Studio, the studio behind the PC version of PUBG.

Alpha testing

With alpha testing scheduled this year, it is a good guess that this game can get a launch date later this year for both iOS and Android. But before the official launch, players can register themselves for the alpha testing through Google Play. Moreover, the pre-orders for the game are open for Android but for iOS, it will “open soon”.

Futuristic setting

PUBG New State will take us in a futuristic setting with new gadgets, Tron-like bikes, superior weapons, and ultra-realistic graphics. Whatever, the new setting may be in PUBG New State you will go through the routine; parachute, scavenge, and pray for good luck.
