PlayStation announced a major PS5 update that will be launched.
The update contains plenty of exciting features and new options for its users to customize their experience of PS5.
It is almost a year since PS5 launched and we have only got a handful of updates. The last PS5 update was in July but was disappointing as it didn’t bring or introduced considerable changes or features.
It only introduced a performance boost update but nothing else. However, the recent announcement about the upcoming update will surely make up for the previous shortcomings.
The information about the new update was shared yesterday on the PlayStation Blog where it was also announced that the update will launch globally tomorrow. Hideaki Nishino, the Senior Vice President of Platform Experience at PlayStation, shared details about the update.
First up, the update is made to the PS5 UX, where users will now have more freehand to customize the Control Centre. Users will also view as well as write messages directly to Game Base.
Moreover, users will now have access to a connection test tool where they can check whether their streaming is up to the mark or not. Besides, subscribers of PlayStation Now will also have the option to choose between 720p or 1080p for individual games.
Moreover, the update also introduces the technology of 3D audio which is being used by many gaming head gears straight to the TVs by using DualSense controller. The hardware side has also got an update M.2 SSD storage expansion which will allow players to increase the default 1TB storage.
Lastly, PS Remote Play can now stream across cellular networks which means, Wi-Fi is no longer required after the update.
So, this time PlayStation came with a solid update by considering existing features as well as introducing new ones. It should take a couple of months until the new update arrives, so till then, this update will surely keep the players engaged.
