Games and cheats go in hand in hand and cheats are in the market since the olden times GatorCheats.
Cheat makers have been making a lot of bucks by developing and selling cheats to players. However, Riot Games and Bungie have decided to take legal action against one such cheat developer; It is famous for developing and selling cheats for Valorant and Destiny 2.
Riot Games and Bungie reached the Central District of California and filed a joint lawsuit against GatorCheat for making cheating software. The lawsuit is exclusively against GatorCheats and its owner Cameron Santos. Cameron Santos is alleged to have developed a cheat known as Gatorant which lets you cheat in Valorant. Gatorant is not detectable by Vanguard, which is an anti-cheat program. GatorCheats is selling Gatorant for $90 for one month access, $250 for three months, and $500 for lifetime access.
As for Destiny 2, GatorCheats sells a suite that players can buy for $100 for three months and $200 for lifetime access. The lawsuit also says that Bungie previously warned and sent a cease and desist letter to GatorCheats but to no avail.
The cheats being sold by GatorCheats allows players to automatically aim weapons on the head of opponents. The cheats also reveal the opponent’s locations and “see a vast array of information that otherwise would be obscured,” the lawsuit shared.
There are three other people mentioned and targeted in the joint lawsuit for providing customer support on GatorCheats. However, their real identity is not known till now. It is also reported that Cameron Santos is also running other cheating software websites like Void cheaters and Honeyhacks.
The objective behind the lawsuit is, “Riot and Bungie seek to put a stop to the unlawful, for-profit sale and distribution of malicious software products designed to enable members of the public to gain unfair competitive advantages.”
