USA gamers spend a new record in November 2020!
All in all the US consumers spent $7 billion on gaming products in November alone, a new record for November, NPD affirms. NPD’s latest report suggests that there was an increase of 35% on gaming hardware, accessories, and content when compared to the previous year’s November. One of the obvious reasons was the launch of both next-gen consoles; PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
Despite all the success, PS5 couldn’t beat Nintendo Switch when it came to the number of units sold. Switch is reigning supreme as the biggest selling platform every month for the past two years, an amazing feat that is.
Now let’s talk about software spending, the stats show that the spending on software rose to 32% year-on-year to $5.2 billion. Sitting at the top, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is both the best-selling game of November and the biggest launch game of 2020 yet.
