Sony Launches PlayStation Plus Video Pass Streaming App in Poland

Sony has just announced its new trial video streaming service; PlayStation Plus Video Pass. This service will include TV and movie content to the existing PS Plus subscription service. The trial service will run in Poland for a year and will offer free movies and TV shows. This is for PS Plus subscribers specifically and is an additional service with no extra cost.

Sony’s Nick Maguire in an interview with Spider’s Web said that the Video pass comes in as PS4/PS5 app. The app will allow PS Plus subscribers to watch 21 TV shows and movies in total. These free movies and TV shows include some big names including Baby Driver, Venom, Blade Runner 2049, and all seasons of Community. The good news is that new titles will be added to the service every three months.

However, there’s no official news about the service being extended to other regions. This will depend upon the test run in Poland and Sony will take into account the popularity of titles as well as the newly launched app.

Earlier, PlayStation Plus Poland website accidentally shared the news which read, “A new benefit available for a limited time on PlayStation Plus… PS Plus Video Pass is a trial service active 22.04.21 – 22.04.22. The subscription benefit is available to PS Plus users in Poland.”

This new service will surely add value to its PS Plus service and will counter Xbox Game Pass service.
