So, this ad means that we will see mobile iterations of popular PS franchises like Naughty Dog’s Uncharted and The Last Us Series. Moreover, we can also have Polyphony’s Gran Turismo, Sony Santa Monica’s God of War, and Insomniac’s Ratchet and Clank. However, this will take a lot of time as the job ad said that a roadmap must be developed for a three to five year time.

Mobile Gaming

This isn’t the first time that Sony plans to enter mobile gaming, it already has a mobile publishing label called PlayStation Mobile Inc. This mobile gaming publishing house has published the PlayStation app, Run Sackboy! Run!, Uncharted: Fortune Hunter, Hidden Agenda, and more.

Moreover, PlayStation Mobile Inc. has also been used by Sony to publish games on PC such as Horizon and the upcoming game Days Gone.

Another effort in mobile gaming from Sony dates way back to 2011. It was the launch of Xperia Play. Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play was dubbed as “PlayStation Phone” and it came with 60 games.

Mobile gaming is a lucrative business, games like PUBG, Genshin Impact, Candy Crush make millions of dollars in a month. Sony will surely fancy its chances in the mobile games industry.
