Nielsen, Nielsen on the wall, which game is most anticipated in this fall?
Well, who doesn’t know about Nielsen, it is a measurement and analytics firm that has a global reach. Nielsen released a report a couple of days ago about the most anticipated games this fall, and guess what, the three games which we talked about the most; Marvel’s Avengers, Marvel’s Spiderman: Miles Morales, and Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War topped the list.
Now, let’s talk about Marvel’s Avengers, based on the blockbuster movie Avengers, it is a role-playing game from Square Enix. Though the movie did give a lot of boosts and ignited the interest of gamers about the game, but according to Nielsen, it is a double-edged sword.
Consumers complained about the in-game character models which did not come close to what they were expecting. But after the rebuffing of models and the release of the beta version, gamer’s anticipation levels have gone bananas.
COD followers and fans will have a feast this year in terms of the Cold War, but it got confirmed after a lot of waits. Historically, Activision announces its upcoming games in spring each year but this time around it got delayed and fans around the world hit the blues.
According to Nielsen, the games that have grabbed the biggest share of attention this year is Blizzard’s latest expansion of World of Warcraft: Shadowland. And if we talk about console-specific games Xbox consumers are looking forward to CrossFireX, and that too because of the delay of Halo: Infinite which was initially expected to release this fall.
