Netflix launches Five Mobile Games for its European Members.

Netflix is making heads in gaming and introduces five mobile gaming titles to its users in European countries. Moreover, Netflix also bought its first game development studio that goes by the name Night School Studio.

Night School Studio is famous for its debut game “Oxenfree”, a game based on the supernatural genre with eerie theme music. Night School Studio now diversifies its portfolio by introducing games in the mobile niche.

Earlier the studio’s games are available on PS, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.

Net-flix plans to diversify its revenue streams besides its video streaming platform. The video streaming giant plans to penetrate the gaming industry. In this context, Net-flix introduced Stranger things: 1984, Stranger things 3: The Game, Card Blast, Teeter up, and Shooting Hoops.

All these games are released on Android to Netflix members residing in Italy, Spain, and Poland.

Net-flix’s representative told media, “We’re still in the very early days, but we’re excited to bring these exclusive games as part of the Netflix membership – with no ads and no in-app purchases.”

“We view gaming as another new content category for us, similar to our expansion into original films, animation, and unscripted TV,” the company said in its shareholder letter.”

“We think the time is right to learn more about how our members value games.”

Net-flix plans to add exclusive games for its members designed to address every gamer  need. Netflix announced in its second-quarter shareholder letter that the company is in the early stages of exploring its gaming model.

Moreover, it regards gaming as just another content category like movies, TV shows, and animations.

Before coming into mobile gaming, Net-flix launched the “choose your own adventure” interactive storytelling project. It later added a couple more interactive storytelling content like “Minecraft Story Mode” and “Emily’s Wonder Lab.”
