The decision to join EA Motive was made back in April however, EA Motive didn’t reveal any project details on which the game director is working. Nevertheless, there have been rumors that EA Motive is working on a ‘fan-favorite franchise with a plan to reveal the project in July.

Baptizat has accolades to his name and is responsible for the revival of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. He served as lead designer on Assasin Creed Origins and game director of Assasin’s Creed Valhalla. However, Baptizat and EA Motive both haven’t shared any details on the new project on which Baptizat is working. This discreet approach has further increased speculations and assumptions in the market.

The reports and speculation about the ‘fan-favorite series surfaced last week when rumors focused Dead Space reboot. This means that next month we can expect an announcement from EA-Motive about a new title in the already established IP.

A well-informed industry insider claimed that there isn’t much information about the project but the upcoming event “they] do know one thing […] It’s that one – it’s the one – and we’re gonna see it… If we’re not dead first.”

The ‘dead first’ bit used by the insider initiated a barrage of speculation among horror fans. Many fans hope that this must be related to Dead Space as the franchise has yet to see a new title since 2013.

The insider further added, “I’ll have to ask and see if, like, I could really start teasing that one,” the insider said at the time. “I know there’s someone on ResetEra who has been teasing it a lot, so I feel like it’s probably close enough that I could start saying… but it’s going to be exciting, I think. It’s gonna be exciting. We’ll talk about it more pretty soon.”
