Calamity has struck the Rainbow Six esports community and fans as R6 Pro player Arif Next1 Keskin suddenly died at the age of 24. His sudden demise left the R6 fans and community in utter shock, disbelief, and sorrow. The German pro player passed away on May 23rd.
Arif Next1 Keskin was a formidable player of Rainbow Six Siege who played for Chaos Esports Club. The last tournament he played was Nordic Championship 2020 where he was assisting his team to grab the top spot. Lately, he left his team to pursue other career goals in January 2021.
The sad news of his demise brought a huge shock to his followers as he died at the young age of just 24. Next1 interacted with his fans and followers on Twitter and noted that he had caught COVID-19 in mid-April. He also wrote that he was struggling with its symptoms. A couple of days later he shared an update about his health and wrote that he had made it to the hospital for treatment. He further added that his health condition is being watched carefully and getting good treatment.
Unfortunately, that was the last Tweet made by Next1’s Twitter account. The specifics of his death haven’t been shared as of now but it is evident that he battled the virus for over a month. Despite being young and in good health, Next1 succumbed to the virus. His sudden death due to the virus caused immense shock all across the competitive world and R6 community.
His teammates, peers, fans, and other pro players showed immense grief and showered praises as well as prayers for their fallen member. Arif Next1 Keskin’s promising career as a pro gamer was tragically cut short due to the virus but he will be remembered as a formidable player and competitor for a long time to come.
