Amazon Launches its Metaverse Game; AWS Cloud Quest.
Jeff Bezos’s metaverse game has surprised many and crypto enthusiasts are betting that cryptocurrencies may follow in the game. Recently, Amazon launched a unique education tool game built in a metaverse.
This new 3D metaverse game comprises a virtual city where players can navigate and engage with others to help. The game is Amazon’s first attempt at a virtual world of the metaverse.
The game has simple gameplay and operations making it user-friendly.
The game is known as AWS Cloud Quest which serves as an education tool, it teaches players to resolve cloud-related IT problems of the residents while roaming the city. With each problem and puzzle solved, the game rewards players with points.
The game also introduces new characters and in-game content with task completions. The main objective of the game is to increase awareness among people regarding Amazon’s AWS services.
In a blog post, Kevin Kelly the director of the professional cloud education program at AWS said, “AWS Cloud Quest and AWS Educate are deliberately moving away from passive content. We want to make the abstract concepts of cloud computing a reality through interactive, hands-on activities that allow students to immediately translate theory into practice.”
AWS or Amazon Web Services is a leading player in cloud services and has a solid grip on the cloud hosting sector. With this metaverse game rolled out by Amazon, the talk of the won now has once again shifted Amazon entering the world of crypto.
Amazon has been silent when it comes to cryptocurrencies, it has neither affirmed nor rejected its plans for cryptocurrencies. Amazon might launch its NFT’s and cryptocurrencies in its metaverse game as the next step.
