Xsolla Launches a Promising New Investment Platform for Indie Games. The fundraising process for developers is getting a lot easier and simplified as Xsolla is launching a game investment platform.

As of now, the investment platform will focus on independent developers in the domain of indie games.

Xsolla has extensive experience in payment handling and handles 700 different payments systems all over the world. Moreover, the company also works with more than 1500 game companies and over 2000 games. The interesting part about Xsolla is that its growth and sustainability came by focusing on mainly games. Xsolla has generated a lot of revenue for its partners; a whopping $3 billion over 3400 games.

The newest venture of Xsolla aims to help independent game developers and simplify the fundraising process for them. Moreover, it will also bring accredited investors to selected game projects, provide developers with capital, provide developers and investors with a revenue structure, and layout multiple streams to investors for diversification of capital. The platform has a lot to offer to investors as it will help match investors to suitable developers via its Funding Club.

Xsolla president Chris Hewish said, “While investors often try to gain control of a game studio or its creations during negotiations, Xsolla will try to keep the interests of the indies aligned with its own interests by financing individual projects and not controlling them.”

He further added, “This is presenting a real investment opportunity for indie devs, we have been working on this for quite a while. We have spoken with other investment platforms to understand the learnings that have come from those.”

The project holds a lot of potential in it as Hewish predicts that over time more than 1000 games could get funds at $1 million each. As of now, there are six games already on the platform and Xsolla is in talks with the investors.
